Master Gary Santella, 4th Degree Black Belt My experience in Martial Arts includes a 4th Degree Black belt in Tae Kwon Do/Hapkido as well as a Purple belt in Judo. I began my training attending Judo classes at the age of thirteen and started Tae Kwon Do/Hapkido in 1974. I received a bachelor’s degree in management from Loyola University in 1976. Afterwards, I enjoyed working as manager in the insurance industry. I enrolled at Chung's Tae Kwon Do/Hapkido in 1992 and have continued my training and instructed classes since that time. I proudly achieved my 4th Degree Black belt in 2002. In my opinion, my greatest reward teaching students is helping them progress in their skills while feeling better about themselves both physically and mentally. I stay motivated while training and instructing martial arts by observing the rewards which are achieved in myself as well as my students. I am also involved with weight and core training as another way to stay in shape. Tae Kwon Do/Hapkido has been a way of life for me both physically and mentally for over thirty years and will hopefully continue for another thirty years or more. My future goal is to progress in my instruction and training in order to help Chungs TKD students as well as my own physical condition. |
